Access to airstrips and lodges

Serengeti.com collaborates with several operators serving the various Serengeti airstrips, with Coastal Aviation and Grumeti Air being the most prominent. Together, we provide services to all major airstrips in the Serengeti: Seronera, Kogatende (ULX), Sasakwa, Lobo, and Ndutu (LDZ). Each airstrip grants access to different lodges based on their location within the national park. We’ve listed these lodges for the key airstrips below. Please note that not all flight connections are shown here; we can also assist with flights from Zanzibar, Manyara, Mwanza, or Nairobi. Additionally, we can help with flights to Mwiba airstrip, Serengeti South airstrip, or Fort Ikoma.

Baggage restrictions and additional information

As Serengeti shuttle flights operate using small aircraft like the Cessna Grand Caravan or Beechcraft 1900, strict baggage restrictions apply. Due to limited luggage space, the following allowance is enforced: 15 kgs per person in a soft duffel-type bag, including hand luggage and camera gear. These restrictions are strictly followed.

Shuttle flights to the Serengeti function as a shuttle service. Therefore, these flights should not be regarded as scheduled flights. Departure times and routes may change based on traveler needs and local weather conditions. As operators serve multiple Serengeti airstrips, there may be several stops en route to your destination airstrip. Flight schedules are subject to change without prior notice.

The Seronera (SEU) airstrip is situated in the central sector of Serengeti National Park, providing access to numerous lodges, including: Four Seasons, Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, One Nature Nyaruswiga, Lemala Ewanjan Camp, Siringit Camp, Lemala Nanyukie, Ehlane Plains, and Namiri Plains. Transfers to and from the Seronera airstrip are typically included when staying at these lodges, although additional fees may apply.
