Overview of Sala's Camp

Located at the Banks of Keeroko and Sand Rivers

Tucked away in the remote Kenyan wilderness, Sala’s Camp offers you a truly unique and luxurious safari experience. With only seven tents on the property, the camp ensures a peaceful and intimate atmosphere, hosting no more than eighteen guests at a time. Each tent is elegantly designed, combining modern comforts with a cozy, welcoming feel that will make you feel pampered yet right at home.

The eco-friendly camp relies on solar energy for its power needs, with a backup generator to ensure refrigeration and charging for your devices. The surrounding natural beauty is just as spectacular as the camp itself, located along the Northern Corridor of the Serengeti, where you can witness the world-famous Great Migration. This prime location gives you the chance to spot wildlife up close and observe dramatic river crossings.

Your safari tent at Sala’s Camp is designed with your comfort in mind. The camp features six luxury tents for one or two guests, and a larger family-friendly tent for honeymooners or groups of up to four. This spacious tent includes a double room and a cozy sitting area, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. Each tent is outfitted with glass-fronted walls, giving you expansive views of the landscape, along with comfortable beds dressed in crisp linens, and a hot water bottle for the cool nights.

You’ll have an en-suite bathroom with hot showers, a comfortable bathtub, running water, and a flushing toilet. While the tents are equipped with modern amenities, they retain the nostalgic charm of classic safaris. For a bit of indulgence, you can cool off in your private plunge pool, then unwind on your deck with an ice-cold drink in hand.

Sala’s Camp is renowned for its exceptional hospitality and the care it provides its guests. During your stay, you’ll enjoy full-board meals that are carefully prepared over an open fire. The chefs use fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from nearby Maasai farms, and home-baked pastries, breads, and biscuits are the camp’s specialties. All meals are accompanied by your favorite beverages.

Start your day with a steaming cup of coffee on your private deck, overlooking the river and the vast Serengeti. Indulge in a bush breakfast in the middle of the African plains, enjoy packed lunches during your safari excursions, and relax with sundowners featuring tasty snacks and refreshing drinks. As the night falls and the stars light up the sky, gather around the blazing fire for a fireside dinner paired with a fine glass of wine—an unforgettable end to a day in the heart of the African wilderness.

Tripadvisor Feedback Sala’s Camp

"Salas Camp is an absolute gem nestled in the Masai Mara overlooking the river. We were totally spoilt from the moment we arrived by such warm and caring staff that you could ever wish for. We cannot recommend it enough, the lodges were beautiful, the food was amazing, the safari experiences including the breakfast was beyond our expectations - just pure perfection."
"We stayed for three nights and could not recommend Salas Camp more. Caroline and her whole team provided impeccable service with tremendous warmth. Our guide and spotter, Samson and Patrick spotted almost every animal for us (even an elusive black rhino) and kept us smiling even on those early morning game drives with an incredible bush breakfast. The food, accommodations, and staff were just wonderful!"
