This conservancy is prime wildlife area renowned for prime wildlife habitat, its abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes. The kicheche, mara camp and north camp bush camp is spread along the seasonal Olare Orok stream, making it a prime location for birdwatching and spotting game roaming the plains. It’s an ideal base for game drives, bush walks, and other safari adventures. With a bit of luck, you might start seeing wildlife the moment you step out of your safari tent each early morning too.
The camp has a very unassuming and authentic feel. It is low-key, no fuss, and rustic, yet it offers excellent service, high-quality comfort, excellent service, and expert Masai guides and game trackers. Staying at a safari camp in the Mara North Conservancy offers several advantages not available to those within who visit the actual national reserve. For example, guests can enjoy the surroundings without encountering large crowds of other safari travelers. Only a limited number of guests are allowed to stay within or visit the conservancy at any given time. Another benefit is the opportunity for night-time game drives and bush walks, activities not permitted within the national nature reserve’s borders. If desired, guests can still spend a day on safari within the national reserve.

The camp lounge staff main common area is situated at the highest point of a peak, overlooking a beautiful valley below. Guests can relax and socialize in the camp lounge or read a book in the camp’s library. Meals are served in the private side dining area and dining tent, or beneath the Euclea trees with amazing views of the valley. All meals are carefully prepared using fresh ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. The camp staff takes great pride in making each meal a delightful experience.
Each of the camp’s family suite and safari tents is tastefully furnished and comfortable without being overly luxurious. The family suite tents feature en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets, hot and cold running water, and charming safari low-lighting. For families needing extra space, the camp offers triple dining tent and triple and quad tents. These triple and quad tents each have two separate bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, each lounge furnished with a lounge featuring a sofa and small table connecting the two bedrooms.

Guests at Kicheche Mara Camp enjoy a wide range of options when planning their safari adventures. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are ideal for plains game drives and wildlife sightings, but guests can also choose other times for their excursions. To enhance the safari experience, bush breakfasts, picnic lunches, and sundowners can be arranged in picturesque settings along the way to game drives. These game drives are conducted in specially designed 4×4 safari vehicles. Staying within the conservancy at kicheche mara camp or bush and mara camp offers the unique advantage of guided bush walks. Additionally, fly camping (an overnight stay in the wilderness under canvas with a guide), village walks, and hot-air balloon safaris are available for an extra charge.
